Dr Julie Simes-Phillipps, Psychiatrist and Lead for Beeches (PTSD/Trauma ward), presented her poster at the Australasian Military Medicine Association Conference in Adelaide from 16-19 October.
Titled 'Nine Months In: What We're Learning from Military & Veteran Acute Admissions', her work highlights the innovative strides we’re making in military mental health.
The poster showcased Deakin Private’s unique, recovery-focused model of care for first reponders — integrating psychiatry, neurology, and functional medicine to support trauma recovery and holistic wellbeing.
