Expressions of interest: Consultant Psychiatrist (VMO)
Deakin Private Hospital is expanding. We're looking for experienced psychiatrists who want to build or grow a sustainable private practice in Canberra — on terms that work for them.
We are a modern, purpose-built mental health facility delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to the ACT community. Our multidisciplinary team — spanning psychiatry, nursing, and allied health — is committed to clinical excellence, and we're investing in the programs and infrastructure to match that ambition.
We're open to multiple appointments and will work with each clinician individually to find a model that suits their schedule, practice commitments, and clinical interests.

About the role
VMOs at Deakin Private provide care across inpatient and/or outpatient settings, with flexible working arrangements tailored to your practice style. There is also genuine scope to contribute to the development of specialised clinical programs as the hospital continues to grow.
We welcome applications from psychiatrists at all career stages. Those working toward or recently having obtained specialist registration are encouraged to enquire — supervision and credentialing arrangements can be discussed on an individual basis.
